NUR 470G - Trends in Professional Nursing in a Global Society


Gateway/RIBN.
Prerequisite(s): NUR 400  and NUR 420 .
This course builds upon previous nursing knowledge and competencies. Students will explore current trends in nursing from a global perspective through the application of knowledge related to the concepts of collaborative management, information management, ethics, and healthcare influences. Exemplars are used to illustrate major concepts. In conjunction with a liberal arts education, and previously acquired foundational nursing knowledge, this course primarily focuses on furthering the development of the following competencies through a Christian perspective and within the context of local and global communities: technology and informatics; professional values and ethics; and teamwork and collaboration.
