HIS 425 - Philosophy of History
This course will consider the philosophical and methodological challenges of historical knowledge, past and present, with particular attention to the importance of the Liberal Arts for history. Attention will be given to problems of the notion of objectivity, rhetoric, the archive, and narrative. As the Capstone for History majors, this course will culminate in a significant research essay.
