EDU 417 - Secondary Teaching Methods


Prerequisite(s): Admission to the School of Education. EDU 354   and EDU 396  EDU 467  .
Co-requisite(s): EDU 407  and EDU 467  .
This course equips future secondary educators with the knowledge and skills to develop effective and engaging curriculum and implement impactful instructional strategies in North Carolina’s 6-12 grade classrooms. Through a blend of theory and practice, you’ll gain expertise in aligning curriculum with NC Essential Standards, crafting lesson and unit plans, utilizing backward design, and selecting diverse instructional approaches to meet the needs of all learners.  When Offered: Fall.
