PAP 518 - Clinical Medicine I This is the first course in a sequence of three courses designed to teach the essentials of clinical medicine. Disorders are presented by organ system and specialty. PA students will develop understanding of the etiology, epidemiology, relevant pathology and pathophysiology, manifestations, laboratory and diagnostic studies, and diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases encountered in general practice. Students will learn to synthesize relevant clinical data from the history and physical exam to formulate a diagnosis and management plan. Topics for this course include clinical laboratory medicine, radiology basics, hematology, infectious disease, and dermatology. Fall
