LED 520 - Trends & Issues in Higher Education
Higher Education institutions including tribal colleges, HBCUs, private institutions, liberal artsinstitutions, community colleges, for-profits, and universities are expected to impart marketable skillsthat prepare students for the dynamic world of work. Students are expected to graduate, and employersare expected to hire new employees. The change in student demographics, cultural environment, andentrepreneurial norms, in addition to a widening skills gap, amidst the tightening career demandsnecessitates all institutions remain abreast of the current trends in higher education to align theirservice with the job market while maintaining a leg-up on competitors. Trends and Issues ImpactingHIED explores the current issues impacting all facets and institutions of higher education.
