CSC 161 - Introduction to Analytics


Prerequisite(s): MAT 215  
This course introduces the students to fundamental analytical methods and approaches for data automation, data visualization, data analysis and quantitative simulations and experiments. Topics include variance analysis. Monte-Carlo simulations, crowd sourcing, non-Parametric analysis, data automation, supervisory break functions, qualitative analytics, Natural Language Processing and Natural Language Generation (NLP/NLG), as well as an introduction to data collections, data organization, normalization, Extract Transforms and Loads (ETL) and data manipulation languages (DML).
