SOC 345G - Global Inequality Prerequisite(s): SOC 100 . This course will examine the sociological perspective on global inequality and “underdevelopment. ” Social, economics, and political problems confronting the developing world will be explored as well as theories that have been offered to explain the problems and the poverty and misery that accompany them. Critical discussions will focus on “development” strategies, the socioeconomic and political forces promoting them, and the impact on people and the environment.
