HES 211 - Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries

This course is designed to provide entry level-knowledge regarding the prevention, evaluation and treatment of athletic-related injuries.  Students will learn basic anatomy, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of common injuries, basic evaluation techniques, preventative measures to reduce the incidence of injures and a knowledge of basic injury treatment including taping and bracing.  This course is a preparatory class for students wishing to pursue coaching or professions in healthcare.
