COM 442 - Communication and the Campaign


Understanding the fundamentals of argument and the nature of public advocacy provide citizens with a foundation to become successful social advocates. This course explores information campaign planning, including political, religious, issue-based, and promotional campaigns. Using the theory and practice of persuasion, the course focuses on the impact of messages on attitudes, opinions, values, and behaviors. Students may participate in local, state, or national campaigns, or do an in-depth research paper.
