EDU 403L - Principles of Teaching & Learning Lab: ELA & SS

Prerequisite(s): Formal admission to the Teacher Education program/School of Education required.
Co-requisite(s): EDU 403  
Through micro-teaching methodology,teacher candidates will provide small group reading instruction to elementary school students.. Emphasis is placed on supporting developing readers vocabulary knowledge and use, formulating meaning from written text, and composing text as a means to communicate thoughts and ideas. Through peer observation and constructive feedback, students will provide responsive literacy instruction, in addition to building pedagogical content knowledge within an authentic learning environment. Lab meets at partnering elementary school site. Minimum grade C-/1.7 required for education majors.
