CSC 434 - Computer Security Prerequisite(s): CSC 334 with a grade of “C-” or higher, as well as at least one programming course. This course covers major topics of computer and network security, including core cryptographic techniques, public-key and public-key cryptography, authentication, key management, digital signatures, authentication and authorization, role management, use of passwords access control, firewalls, quality of service issues, and information risk management processes and procedures, as well as virus scans, bot networks, Trojan viruses, security algorithms, spyware, DOS attacks and recent developments and challenges in securing information and access.
