CHE 320 - Instrumental Chemical Analysis Prerequisite(s): CHE 210 . Instrumental chemical analysis studying Optical Spectroscopy (UV-vis, Atomic Absorption, Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission), Separations (High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) and Electrochemical Techniques (Cyclic Voltammetry). Individual experiments will be tailored to the specific track of the student. Classical track and Biochemical track will have more emphasis on separations (HPLC); Environmental Chemistry track will have more emphasis on trace analysis of environmental contaminates. The course will be taught with one hour of lecture and 6 hours of lab per week. Offered every spring semester.
