Business Administration Concentrations, MBA

Graduate students in business may choose to focus at least twelve (12) hours of elective courses in a concentration. It is important to note that some concentrations have certain electives that are mandatory. If students opt for two concentrations, they can only count one course for both, except for BUS 585, a project-based course that must differ for each concentration. The following MBA concentrations require the general MBA core and degree electives from the approved list as follows:

MBA Core Curriculum (24 Credit Hours)

ACC 501 - Managerial Accounting 3 Credits.
BUS 511 - Financial Management and Budgeting 3 Credits.
BUS 513 - Marketing Strategy 3 Credits.
BUS 514 - Human Behavior in Organizations 3 Credits.
BUS 519 - Supply Chain and Operations Management 3 Credits.
BUS 534 - Strategic Management and Business Policy 3 Credits.
BUS 542 - Business and Professional Communication 3 Credits.
ECO 502 - Managerial Economics 3 Credits.

Accounting Concentration (12 Credit Hours)

ACC 524 - International Accounting 3 Credits.
ACC 530 - Advanced Tax 3 Credits.
(Choose two of the following courses)
ACC 533 - Accounting Theory 3 Credits.
ACC 537 - Auditing Applications 3 Credits.
ACC 541 - Advanced Topics in Cost Accounting 3 Credits.
ACC 522 - Governmental and Non-Profit Accounting 3 Credits.
ACC 583 - Special Topics 3 Credits. (topic must be approved by MBA coordinator)
BUS 585 - Business Practicum 3 Credits.

Business Analytics & Information Technology (12 Credit Hours)

BUS 536 - Business Intelligence and Analytics 3 Credits.
BUS 538 - Business Networks and Systems Thinking 3 Credits.
