Forensic Studies Minor (24 hours)

The Forensic Studies minor provides students with an interdisciplinary understanding of the intersection between psychology, criminal justice, and the law. Students explore how psychological science informs investigative practices, courtroom procedures, and the evaluation of offenders and victims. Coursework emphasizes critical thinking, ethical awareness, and the application of behavioral science to real-world legal contexts. The minor is designed to complement majors in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, political science, and related fields, and it prepares students for careers or graduate study in areas such as law enforcement, corrections, forensic psychology, or legal studies.
