BEARS CLUB The Bears Club is the official fundraising arm of Lenoir-Rhyne University Athletics. Founded in 1946, the Bears Club coordinates the annual athletic fundraising, capital and endowment gifts for Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics. The purpose of the Bears Club is to support athletic scholarships and program costs for Lenoir-Rhyne’s 22 men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic teams.

Students from any discipline may earn a minor in International Education. Education majors must complete a minimum of six (6) unique credit hours to earn the minor. The International Education requires 18 credit hours from the following:

EDU 219 - Culture Literacy and Learning Hours: 1
EDU 220 - Child and Adolescent Development Hours: 3
EDU 274 - Global Education Hours: 3
HCS 250 - Multicultural Perspectives Hours: 3
SPA, FRE, GER or CHI 221 or higher Hours: 3

Choose 6 hours from the following:

ECO 424 - Contemporary Problems of the Developing Areas Hours: 3
ENG 233 - Reading World Literature Hours: 3
HES 453 - Application of Theories Hours: 3
HIS 208 - The Modern Developing World Hours: 3
POL 140 - Comparative Politics Hours: 3
SOC 345 - Global Inequality Hours: 3
SOC 379 - Environment and Society Hours: 3
Any additional HUM or HSB with Global Designation “G”
