OCC 503 - Principles of Occupational Therapy Pre-requisite: Admission to the OT graduate program. This course introduces the history, philosophy and core assumptions of occupational therapy. Students critically analyze areas of occupation including performance skills, performance patterns, activity demands, context(s), and environments, and cultural aspects that influence individuals’ participation in everyday life. Students analyze the impact of disability on occupational performance, participation and well-being. Course introduces students to the scope of Occupational Therapy practice. The grade of B- or better is required for progression to the occupational therapy graduate program.
