EDU 308 - Junior Seminar for Teacher Candidates in the Integrated Elementary and Special Education Program

Designed as a bridge to student teaching, this elective supports teacher candidates in mastering the Junior Teaching Jury interview for student teaching and finalizing their student teaching applications. In pursuit of the development of the whole person, this course also offers topical workshops in which students develop a ‘toolkit’ to navigate real-world complexities they may face in student teaching. Topics include resume writing, habit building, educator wellness, trauma-informed teaching, artificial intelligence, reflective practice, and ensuring candidates are fully prepared for the demands of their senior-year student teaching experience.
