BUS 124 - Career Readiness for Business Majors



This foundational course provides first-year students in the College of Business & Economics with an intentional introduction to career readiness and professional transition. Students examine the purpose and value of their college business education, assess their career-related strengths and interests, and begin purposeful preparation for internships and future careers. Emphasis is placed on developing essential professional skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication, ethical conduct, and appropriate interpersonal behavior in academic and workplace settings. The course establishes a foundation for future internship experiences and serves as the first course in a required two-course career development sequence culminating in a senior-year capstone.
