HON 498 - Senior Honors Research

Prerequisite(s): Open to juniors and seniors in the Fritz Honors College and to others by permission of the Fritz Honors College.
HON 498 and HON 499 may be taken by Fritz Honors College students during successive semesters of their senior year. HON 498 begins this two-semester course sequence that provides students with the opportunity to apply their acquired skills and knowledge to a research/creative problem or question. Independent research or creative expression on a subject of interest to the student will be conducted under the guidance of a primary faculty advisor and an interdisciplinary committee of faculty. Upon completion of the project, the student must prepare a written thesis and pass an oral examination on the project open to the public and administered by the interdisciplinary committee (completed during HON 499).
