HON 202 - Introduction to Creating Knowledge
Prerequisite(s): Open to students in the Fritz Honors College. Other students with permission of the Fritz Honors College. Introduces students to the principles and processes necessary to address the question: “How do we know anything?” through multidisciplinary round-table discussions, course readings, and interviews with research mentors. Students will develop the ability to identify issues/points of argument across texts in order to identify gaps in knowledge and discover their place in the academic conversation. Students will create a foundation to ask an interesting and appropriate question related to their chosen field. The course culminates in the production of a refined research proposal to create new knowledge and communicate the proposal to an academic audience. When Offered: Spring
