COM 469 - Global Sports Communication

In this course, students will explore sports communication on a global scale. Course topics will examine cultural narratives communicated by sport, how sports performances and mega-events (Olympics, World Cup) influence global politics and diplomacy, how individual, social, and national identities are shaped by sports, and the role of sport in addressing global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
