BUS 472 - Financial Derivatives

Prerequisite(s): BUS 341 and BUS 346 .
This course is an introduction to the world of derivative securities. The course defines the main types of derivatives (forwards, futures, swaps and options), introduces an analytical framework for derivatives valuation and explores a variety of derivatives strategies. Topics include futures and forwards, futures markets, futures’ strategies, futures’ pricing models, swaps, options, option markets, option strategies and option pricing models. When Offered: Spring.
