PHY 355 - Machine Shop II

Prerequisite(s): PHY 255 .
Compared to PHY 255, more advanced manual machining capabilities are introduced and demonstrated along with an emphasis on more advanced CNC capabilities explored. G and M codes for manual programming of CNC equipment is explored along with fixturing techniques for CNC machining. Adding a fourth asix for CNC machining is introduced and discussed. More advanced CAM work is demonstrated along with precision measurements to verify and qualify work pieces machined. When Offered: On demand.
