EDU 409 - Writing Methods

Prerequisite(s): Formal admission to the Teacher Education program/School of Education required.
The purpose of this course is to provide teacher candidates with knowledge of instructional methods for teaching writing to diverse learners in K-6 settings. Emphasis is placed on instructional methods and assessments to design and implement writing instruction in the K-6 classroom. Class meetings will occur at LR’s Literacy Center at Southwest Primary School. When Offered: Fall. Minimum grade of “B-” required for education majors. Note ENROLLMENT IN COURSES NUMBERED 300 OR ABOVE REQUIRES ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION
