EDU 614 - Pedagogy & Lesson Development STEM

Pre-requisite: Admission to the MAT Program
“Curriculum” or “content” is the term for what we teach, while “methods” and “pedagogy” deal with how we teach that curriculum. In this course we will deal with both, with an eye toward establishing the direct connection between the two. This course provides instruction on the lesson-planning process and an overview of the unit-development process. Students will develop and deliver lessons, utilizing methods and literacy strategies appropriate for their respective content areas of mathematics and science in the secondary classroom. Summer
