NTR 545 - Advanced Medical Nutrition Therapy

This course will focus on in-depth application of medical nutrition therapy in chronic and/or acute disease states. Students will demonstrate critical thinking skills in conducting the nutrition care process for patients with varied and complex medical conditions. Nutrition-focused physical examination, enteral and parenteral nutrition will be included. Simulations and case study scenarios will be utilized with other instructional methods.
