MAT 450 - Financial Mathematics
Prerequisite(s): MAT 165 and either MAT 115 or MAT 215 . . This course is a mathematical treatment of some fundamental concepts of financial mathematics and their application to basic risk management. Topics include valuing investments, capital budgeting, valuing contingent cash flows, yield curves, spot rates, forward rates, short sales, Macaulay duration, modified duration, convexity, and immunization, financial derivatives, and their use in risk management.
